Eurovision 2009 Estonia: Urban Symphony – Rändajad

Kõrbekuumuses liiva
Lendab kui jääkülma lund
Öö peagi laotamas tiivad
Rändajaid saatma jääb tuul

See on tee nad rändavad nii päevast päeva
See on tee nad rändavad siis ajast aega
See on tee ta nähtamatu rajana kulgeb
Nende ees ta ootab kui riskida julged

Külmunud hingi vaid saadab
Kuuvalgus varje neist loob
Päikesekiirena sooja
Hommik taas endaga toob

See on tee nad rändavad nii päevast päeva
See on tee nad rändavad siis ajast aega
See on tee ta nähtamatu rajana kulgeb
Nende ees ta ootab kui riskida julged

Nad rändavad nii päevast päeva
Nad rändavad siis ajast aega
Ta nähtamatu rajana kulgeb
Ta ootab kui riskida julged

Üle mägede taevasse kaigub hääl

See on tee nad rändavad nii päevast päeva
See on tee nad rändavad siis ajast aega
See on tee ta nähtamatu rajana kulgeb
Nende ees ta ootab kui riskida julged
See on tee

The Nomads

In the desert heat, the sand
blows like ice-cold snow
The night soon spreads its wings
Nothing but the wind to escort the nomads

That is the way they wander from one day to the next
That is the way they wander from one life to the next
That is the way it weaves an invisible path
on them, it waits until you are ready to take the risk

It carries only frozen souls
The moonlight makes their shadows
Warmth in a ray of sunlight
is what the morning brings once again

That is the way they wander from one day to the next
That is the way they wander from one life to the next
That is the way it weaves an invisible path
on them, it waits until you are ready to take the risk

They wander from one day to the next
They wander from one life to the next
It weaves an invisible path
It waits until you are ready to take the risk

A voice echoes across the mountains up to the heavens

That is the way they wander from one day to the next
That is the way they wander from one life to the next
That is the way it weaves an invisible path
on them, it waits until you are ready to take the risk
That is the way

  1. Beautiful song. Beautiful language. This song was my favorite. Greetings from Serbia.

  2. This song deserves to be the winner. It has everything: good lyrics, beautiful music, sense, wonderful performer with beautiful voice and what is more important it’s performed in national language. It’s such a pleasure to listen to it.
I wish you luck and I’ll defenitely vote for you.

    Greetings from Ukraine!

  3. what are u speaking about???? in en glish????? my god!!!

most of songs this year are in english is ridiculous!!!! this is an european contest, with european languages!! i can believe what are you saying!!!!

  5. Hi, neighbours! 🙂 This is really, REALLY good! Reaches my top 2 with Norway! I always loved the Estonian language, and it’s fun to listen because I understand most of the lyrics. 🙂

PLEASE, do NOT sing in English! Good luck!

  6. The song is my mental mantra. I love every second of it. deeeply emotional, lyrics are rich, classy. Message is cosmic. Theme ETHERNAL! Master work of the angels of music. THE SONG SHOULD NEVER BE PERFORMED ON ANY OTHER LANGUAGE BUT estonian. It gives it uniquenes and opulent fonetic beauty. CONGRATULATIONS to URBAN SYMPHONY!!!!!! I wish and pray ESTONIA WINS THIS YEAR, BECAUSE THEY OFFER REAL QUALITY MUSIC AGAINST SHARADE OF DISTESTEFULL KITCH AND DEJA VU CLAUN PERFORMANCES. ALL THE BEST TO Randajad, it speaks to human hearth!

  7. I LOVE this song. And I love the Estonian language in it.

Cheers from Sweden! You get MY vote!

  8. Now, that is a beautiful song! Weel done Estonia!
And the lyrics are quite poetic, too.

Much better than “love, love, shake your booty” nonsense that has flooded the contest of late.

I wish and hope that you’ll achieve a deserved high place and, why not, the top!

  9. Yea this is somehow cool and it sounds really cool in Estonian so I also hope she’ll sing in that at the ESC. The question is what the rest of Europe will think of this. But for me it’s nice

  10. marvelous song. Please sing in Estonian and NOT in English… you’ll bring home the award to Estonia!!! 12 points from the Netherlands!

  11. thanx God! for the last 5 years, its the best song i’ve heard from my country…I feel proud.)
