I never did say never I just don’t think it fits Eurovision (the way I see it 🙂 )
Admin, never say never. 🙂 If you think about what kind of entries ESC had 15 years ago, who would have thought that in the end of the next decade the entries – and the winners! – would be the kind they are now? So, who knows. Maybe in years to come we will witness all finalists being metal or house! 😉
Beca, I guess in that case Eurovision is just not for you because metal is simply not something I see belonging to Eurovision.
I like house music for example but I don’t imagine it ending up on Eurovision…
To be honest, since 2006 I’ve started to watch Eurovision again solely because of the fantastic Finnish entries!! Won’t be watching this year because of what I consider the God awful choices the Finnish people had- I researched to see if it’s worth it!! Really not my thing. Finnish metal in general is fabulous. I would never have discovered Terasbetoni if it wasn’t for Eurovision and now they’re my favourite band! So annoyed they very rarely, if ever, play in the UK. I’m sure they’d go down just as well as Turisas did at Download a couple of years ago! I suppose for now the best I can do is keep checking the line up for Wachen!
They might as well be singing about rats in a cable car.. it would sound the same LOL
thanks for the comment farrah
literally fell off my bed when i heard it on euro….fantastic!..real men..real sweat… thanks for translation..thought they were singing about rats in a cable car, obviously i am a non finnish speaking person,,,,but so love the song..cool 🙂
z2xc5v- but I think that the Turkish song from 2003 is great even when I don’t watch the performance of it xD
I’m a metalhead so…think that’s why I liked it that much!!! (yeah!!) :p ,heheh…
well,i think that “hard rock hallelujah” was a good song anyway (at least for the eurovision standars),and of course, lordi’s show made the difference…but I think that terasbetoni’s song was COOL…and probably much better than lordi’s one…I love it!!these guys rock!but a hard rock song couln’t be voted by eurovision fans(according to who has won and who has not so far..)if it’s not supported by a veeery special show….I liked the song and the band (oh…the singer was sooo hot:p -and with a wonderfull voice!)but I don’t know if a good hard rock song could be respected by anyone out there…!:s
but Sergej, no one seems to be tired of the same folk beat in the Greek songs, cuz everyone keeps voting to it >.< and that had been placed on stage so after that the hard rock, isnt? (and year by year is less original)…
And about the costume, yea it does take part of their win, but its like all, when Sertab won in 2003, i think 90% of her win was related to the dance..if you see her now singing the song without dancer, you dont gonna believe that she was the winner xD i just cant find the video of her preselection, you gonna laugh xD
