Boaz Mauda to represent Israel at Eurovision Song Contest 2008

The Israeli national final, Kdam – Eurovision 2008 where the public voted for one of the five songs performed by Boaz Mauda (בועז מעודה) , was held on 26th February.

1. Ke’ilo kan (As If Here)
2. Bli Ahavi (Without Love)
3. Parparim (Butterflies)
4. Hin’e Ha’or (Here’s The Light)
5. Masa Haiyai (The Journey Of My Life)

Israel decided that Boaz Mauda will sing Ke’ilo kan (As If Here) in Belgrade in May 2008.

Boaz Mauda won Kokhav Nolad; A Star is Born 5, the Israeli version of “American Idol” in August 2007, with 50 percent of 900,000 votes which made him very popular in the country though he had never sang professionally before.
