Charlotte Perrelli to represent Sweden at Eurovision Song Contest 2008

Charlotte Nilsson (Perrelli) won Melodifestivalen, Swedish national selection for Eurovision Song Contest held tonight (15 March 2008) in Stockholm’s Globe Arena

Out of 3.489 submitted songs, twenty-eight semifinalists were announced in early December 2007 and the remaining four (the wildcards) in January 2008. Four semifinals and a Second Chance round held from 9 February till 8 March determined the ten finalists of Melodifestivalen 2008:
