New Eurovision 2008 Logo & Slogan

“The Confluence of Sound”

RTS presented yesterday a new logo and slogan of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008: “The Confluence of sound” (Ušće zvuka). After numerous of unfavorable comments about the first logo, they have come up with an entirely new, much more professional, conception.

The new theme is based on the Confluence, and the colors of Serbian flag are used –white, blue and red. According to Sandra Šuša, Executive Producer of the festival, the fact that Belgrade lies on confluence of the two major European rivers, Sava and Danube, is the main idea that lies behind the logo. European music will flow into Belgrade and meet in Belgrade Arena, just like Sava meets Danube.

The logo will be on all prospects, cards and shown during the show. The official Eurovision Song Contest site will be entirely changed in accordance with the new logo and slogan.
