Help, not sure what she’s trying to say here 😆

“Prvi mart, s leđa start, čudan bol, sve ti pamtim ja
Ti, baš od svih, da mi tako vratiš,
pravi rad s leđa start kome da se vratim sad”

I have no idea what she means by “pravi rad”… Perhaps something like “a true piece of work”.
“S ledja start” might be like a “stab in the back”

I need help with some verbs. I know that the Serbian language has perfective and imperfective verbs. I know how to use some of them such as jesti and pojesti. But there are others ones that I have trouble with, such as pokušati, pokušavati; setiti se, sećati se

Saro, pokušati is to try, pokušavati is trying (continuous)
    Setiti se… – Remember
Sećaš li se … -Do you remember…

How would you translate “you are so yesterday” in Serbian?

    Ti si prošlost?

    PS
Za mene si prošlost; Ti si za mene prošlost.

How would you translate “You made my bed but I don’t have to sleep in it”?

Srpski ekvivalent poslovici “you’ve made your bed, now lie in it” je “Kako si posejao tako ćeš i žnjeti” ali razmišljanje u tom pravcu evidentno i nije od neke pomoći…

Here’s an example of the lyrics. That might help. Posejati will probably be a bit extreme for this song lol

    I leave the lights on
Turn the sound up off of my TV
Trust my words, girl you’d never get the best of me
Cause you decided, we, when we divided
You made my bed but I don’t have to sleep in it

Tossing and turning in my bed
Tryin’a get you out of my head
If I can’t get through the night
I’m hoping and praying I can get over you

I suppose you can translate it literally then (Namestila si mi krevet ali ne moram u njemu spavati)

    HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🙂
