Branko Miljković – Uzalud je budim

Pesma

Uzalud je budim

Budim je zbog sunca
koje objasnjava sebe biljkama
zbog neba razapetog između prstiju
budim je zbog reči
koje peku grlo, volim je ušima
treba ići do kraja sveta
i naći rosu na travi
budim je zbog dalekih stvari
koje liče na ove ovde
zbog ljudi koji bez čela
i imena prolaze ulicom
zbog anonimnih reči, trgova
budim je zbog manufakturnih pejzaža,
javnih parkova
budim je zbog ove naše planete
koja će možda biti mina
u raskrvavljenom nebu
zbog osmeha u kamenu
drugova zaspalih između dve bitke
kada nebo nije bilo više
veliki kavez za ptice nego aerodrom
moja ljubav puna drugih
je deo zore koju budim
budim je zbog zore, zbog ljubavi,
zbog sebe, zbog drugih
budim je, mada je to uzaludnije
negoli dozivati pticu zauvek sletelu

Sigurno je rekla: neka me traži
i vidi da me nema
ta žena sa rukama deteta,
koju volim
to dete koje je zaspalo
ne obrisavši suze koje budim
uzalud, uzalud, uzalud
uzalud je budim
jer će se probuditi
drukčija i nova,
uzalud je budim
jer njena usta
nece moći da joj kažu
uzalud je budim
ti znaš, voda protiče,
ali ne kaže ništa
uzalud je budim
treba obećati izgubljenom imenu
nečije lice u pesku

ako nije tako odsecite mi ruke
i pretvorite me u kamen

English Translation

I’m Waking Her Up In Vain

I’m waking her up for the sun
that explains itself with plants
for the sky stretched between the fingers
I’m waking her up for the words
that burn one’s throat, I’m loving her with my ears
One should go till the end of the world
and find dew on the grass
I’m waking her up for the distant things
that look like these around here
for the people who, without foreheads
and names, walk the streets
for anonymous words, squares
I’m waking her up for manufactured landscapes,
public parks
I’m waking her up for this planet of ours
that will maybe be a mine
in the bleeding sky,
for the smiles in stone,
friends fallen asleep between two battles
when the sky stopped being
a big birds’ cage but became an airport
my love full of others
is a part of the dawn that I’m waking up
I’m waking her up for the dawn, for the love,
for myself, for others
I’m waking her up although that’s more pointless
than calling a bird that has landed forever

For sure she said: let him look for me
and see that I’m gone
that woman with child hands,
the one I love
that child who has fallen asleep
without wiping the tears that I’m waking up
in vain, in vain, in vain
I’m waking her up in vain
because she will wake up
different and new,
I’m waking her up in vain
because her mouth
won’t be able to tell her
I’m waking her up in vain
you know, water flows,
but it doesn’t say anything
I’m waking her up in vain
It’s like promising, to a lost name,
someone’s face in the sand

If that’s not the way it is, cut my arms off
and turn me into stone

  1. Najcesce ne vidimo ono sto se uporno.nudi, ili to uporno odbijamo.
Trazeci smisao zivljenja, zaboravljamo zivjeti. Citanjem ove pjesme, um biva otvoren, dok dusom caruje sloboda, neceg tek prepoznatog, bolnog, dirljivog..

  2. Ovo je vanvremensko delo…ali nije uzalud, jer iako je ne probudis,i ti ces jednoga dana zaspati negde pokraj nje!!!!!!!
